Thats simple to answer. Quads are only visibles no entity, so we "fake" add functionality like freeze or hook in the server logic.

Yea that's neat, but it definitely has it's issues. And as teero said it's a hacky solution

Yeah, but there is no other solution

We can adjust fine-tuning in the syncing, but imho it works pretty decent for server-side only..

fair enough, im just 50/50 on adding stuff like that to ddrace if it involves a hacky solution, it would be fun to have but probably make for a good chunk of annoying maps, especially with high ping/poor connection

if you add client-side rendering support. The high ping/poor connection stuff will just be as normal as right now (edited)
