if you go by the ddnet discord chat history, only very few people (maybe a clan with the same name) called it "uroboro" and tried to make it mainstream. aled came up later and apparently stuck with people (the origin of that name was explained at some point but it probably stuck because of the map "aled" (?). "unfreeze through freeze"/"utf" was also mentioned by some. I remember calling it "freezehammer" for a while and that name comes up just as early as "uroboros".
to sum up: many people had different opinions on how that move is/should be called, aled is the normal/accepted word now.
