Doesn't happen to me with latest nightly. Can you try nightly/steam beta instead? Does this happen for every map?

I think the problem is that you don't have any channels selected

Not quite sure, but I guess it doesn't find a correct maximum position to zoom, so it just zooms to the maximum value

Should be fixed anyway, so auto-zooming also works while no channels are active
