tho personally i’d just use msys and make a native build of the server if you don’t want the vs baggage. you can also just install the vs command line build tools on their own

Nope, that's not possible. Pro tip if you're having trouble pinging players with special characters in their name, you can navigate the tab list backwards with shift + tab, then they usually pop up first :)
