I think that bug has existed since forever :D Let chat first fade out then open chat and double tap f1 and you will no longer be able to see chat history (but you will still see entries that haven't faded out yet)

Can reproduce it now, you need cl_showchat 1 so chat actually fades out

Can we have it when you're mapping while connected to a server, the Connecting... popup when a map changes doesn't appear over our work? (edited)
