I have a python script which embeds gifs into ddnet maps: https://gitlab.com/Patiga/twmap-py/-/blob/f3be2f22372a89f447c90b1f04dd113b667f9bdf/scripts/menu-background.py however, it currently places it as the background of a map, to use it as a menu background for example. so the position is currently hardcoded, it could be slightly adapted to place it somewhere else in the map
