Rocket explosion existed since ever and still got fixed There is nothing that benefits from it so it can’t be a feature or anything - it is obviously a bug I don’t even think I‘ll have to explain why I don’t think anyone times their sg in order to not fail that since I don’t think that more than 1 % of ppl are even aware of this bug

I mean its not much different to the rocked bumping the tee below u up, in a straight aiming vertical rocketfly. The Radius just makes it a bit more common. I wouldnt even know how to fix this without some bigger impacts. And apart from normal sg bug things like sg run bug, tuned sg fly maps, sg range or more have to be considered/tested (edited)

its already a few years ago. Grenade bullet exploded twice if it was end of lifetime+at wall. It wasnt realized by anyone for years, then Netherman came up with it (fikmesan "accidently" found out also i think) It had almost zero impact as a bug but being fixed made some maps unfinishable like Binary which is fixed mapside and Lunar Base which was completely removed. Also on some other maps it caused problems and who knows the difference in gameplay

We were told to wait for a rule on matters like this (so obviously that implies that the rule must apply to our case too) and now that the rule has come, you decided to not give us the treatment that the rule was indicating and not even inform us about that whatsoever. I don’t think this is appropriate on your part, however it would be nice if you could provide an explanation about what led you to this decision as I/we just can’t understand why. We were at the point were it was basically „play to the skip point a few times but wait for the upcoming rule - it might benefit you“. So how are we (as some of the most active members of the community rn) just ignored and treated like dust after waiting weeks for your decision-making? Would be nice to be given at least some kind of argumentation to understand your side better, thank you @snail , admins idek (edited)

Why were we told to wait for you to decide on a rule in the first place then? It doesn’t even matter whether you think it’s good or bad as this was what you were telling us But anyway, even under the old rules you were telling us to play to the skip 20 times twice and we‘d be good. Additionally I don’t think the „old rules“ (which didn’t even exist) were supposed to protect arbitrary decisions by the mapper (we discussed in detail what happened) So I wonder how the „decision under the old rules“ leads to this outcome

There wasn’t a documented rule before, we decided on an adhoc basis and it was our understanding that mappers are allowed to fix their maps. Thus under the old (albeit implicit) rule, the map was changed, making your rank impossible. Impossible ranks are always removed and have always been removed

deciding on "adhoc basis", did you consider that you are punishing multiple active players who have been grinding for those hard maps tho finish and are spending many many hours for such maps? what would actually speak against restoring the ranks? would it damage anyone? i dont think it would

Yes, that’s why it took us some time to decide what to do with your ranks. As I said, our implicit rule at that time was that we would allow mappers to fix skips if they so desired. The fact that you are active members of the community that spent so many hours on a skip (one that the mapper says he even warned you that he’d fix but let’s ignore that for a minute) was indeed a concern. However, since the skip was for a significant portion of the map, we’ve decided in favor of the mapper. We can’t restore them as is, since the map has been fixed, the ranks are no longer possible.
