Depends on the price. I'd upgrade my home server to Intel N100 when it dies, which is a newer version of this line (with rebranding inbetween): https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/N100DC-ITX/ Only about 100-130 € for mainboard+cpu, 6W TDP, fully passive.

Processors usually don't use lot of power in idle, it's mostly the motherboard making desktop PC unattractive in idle. So maybe a Ryzen would still be a better value

Cheaper ones have them disabled I think. But Ryzens are really cheap. I doubt most ppl aim for low idle usage anyway

If we for simplicity assume the Ryzen uses 30w in idle vs 6w yours at 40 cents per kWh you have to operate it for 520+ days from a pure economic stand point in idle.

Ok yours doesn't mention the idle power, but even if it uses 0w it would still not be as drastic. Electricity is still rather cheap, even if it's very expensive

funnily enough the added latency added by the second ccd was worse for performance than just restraining all traffic to one ccd from what I've heard

amd opted back to using one ccd with the ryzen 7 78003dx because of that exact reason xd
