i get lag spikes every 2-5 secs and its not depending on my wifi bc i checked if it still occurs when i host myself a server. neither i get any fps drops nor any thing in task manager reaches over 50%.

did u connect to your local server with F1 -> connect localhost?

just tried now but it takes like eternity

u send input wait 40 ms until the server responses so all input inside the 40ms is actually wrong

after this ^ u could also try around with setting cl_refresh_rate to 400 or smth.. maybe your hardware is overheating Also unplug all USB devices. close other programs etc.

what does that mean

its hard to explain, but 40ms spikes are already pretty huge depending on how high your lowest ping is

you can also try cl_prediction_margin 40 which increases your ping but makes it a bit more stable 10 is default

i remember i once formatted the disk and it was much better for some time before it came back to current state
