Why does ddnet sometimes use 100% of my system drive usage for the entirety of it's runtime

maybe an anti virus is the cause here and not ddnet itself?

I would assume there's something related to how my pc uses the disk drive, since seeing as when I load into the open world in warframe it uses 100% disk, but after it's done loading it drops to <10% usage

i could not imagine ddnet every using your disk so much for longer than 1-2 seconds anywhere

I don't think it's directly settings related, it's a day by day thing

Some days it's perfectly fine, others it just cannot run

Maybe ur disk is broken?

if it's your system drive or files are in use you need to schedule the repair for the next restart

Is that supposed to make ddnet crash

You could alternative try to use Process Monitor (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon) to find out what the DDNet.exe process is doing while the disk load is high

On processes tab it only showed 50%, but on performance it was showing full 100%

But yeah, you should probably get a new disk soon, backup your stuff and stop using the old disk
