You can use the trashmap servers, or use lan. They are the easiest options.

https://trashmap.ddnet.org/ You can create servers to play on with friends, and you can upload any map that you like. You can upload maps by going into the maps or downloaded maps folder in config_directory.bat in the ddnet folder. You can't create too many custom settings however, and the rcon menu is limited to helper status.

You can set passwords to allow only specific people to join.

Teeworlds client doesn't have ddnet features.
