Yes, this means your Linux distribution is too old

Which one are you running and what version? We try to build for pretty old Linux compatibility, but I think we had to bump it to Debian 8 recently

Debian 10 actually, so not that old anymore

It was kind of required to get a more recent GCC compiler so we can keep building the new C++ code

i understand, some other games that i have also don't anymore, i got lazy and i use elementary and the windows managing sistem i heard its kinda junk in newer versions so that'swhy i stick to this one
