I think one reason for this was if you had too many skins added and you dont have enough graphic memory to load them(are u sure you have enough vram for the game requirements?). If you have added custom skins you maybe want to remove them and try again. Also post this in #bugs or #questions next time. (edited)

We only had one case i know of, where VK was so broken that it crashed before getting inside the client. And that was some Ryzen 2xxx or smth, should be documented in gfx trouble shooting

Most new games seem to rely on a plain ui with winapi for this, if you hold down a certain button while launching it’ll give you a small native launcher thing to change gfx settings incase you can’t even get ingame

You can't use RAM as VRAM with discrete videocard because the videocard simply does not have access to it, once you run out of vram on discrete it's over
