See guys my not releasing faster then just right now accepted map , it's just because my map is solo but his is moderate ! Snail chooses not same server maps . Maybe even my new map if i finish fast enough and it would be accepted fast will release faster then my solo map .

Wouldn't doubt that, since we have so many solo maps being readied and accepted

yeah, there have been a lot of solo maps approved lately, with many of the rest being dummy maps (edited)

I think perfect length for such videos would be 10-15 minutes

I liked the blender tutorials. they were concise and focused on a single aspect this way I could first watch the first few and later pick the ones out I needed

there should be a vid showing off every shortcut in the editor

for shortcuts I think a cheat sheet would be better, or something built-in for the editor

both should be fine, if u do one big vid u have to make sure to include everything and maybe include timestamps. For smaller ones, u have more freedom to add vids later to explain something that u missed previously.. it's also easier to reference a short vid when someone asks a question rather than the lengthier one + timestamp. Yeah, maybe overall I prefer short and more

There's barely vids about work with quads, i learned it myself and it was painful

Or a prompt where you can put the overall idea of a part and then it gets generated automatically 🀝

Is there anything you'd like to know in particular ?
some things that come to mind:
  • creating envelopes efficiently. not long ago I was shown that you can drag the envelope point around in th map itself with a grid (hope that wasnt a dream justatest)
  • inserting author, credits, license etc into the map info
  • how you do map versioning (regular backups, this might be part of a more general topic)
  • what all those sound source settings are
  • (advanced) automappers?

but some of the listed things are definitely not high priority since if the tutorial should cover the basics then that would need to come first
