the problem I have faced last week was that I don't seem to get the state of the drop-down menu in the button
07:55
so I can't make the arrow switch from down to up. or wait no. that was no problem. switching the arrow when you click outside the drop-down menu is a pain without making a listener for mouse clicks which I think is still overkill. because the drop-down menu already closes itself when you click outside of it.
07:55
just have to figure out how to get the state of it. because the open field doesn't seem to do shit
I asked it. And it provided me code that looked like it works. But I want to do it without javascript. But with what the library is supposed to provide.
08:03
I also can just ignore the arrow. And not make it switch like on https://openai.com/. Then this wouldn't be a problem.(edited)

Also im positive if somone finds Ur hut they either will report it, ruin it, or steal ur berries in less than 30 days (ofc huge part of population will just ignore it )
Idk when i was 14 me and friend stalked a homeless guy in bloodied shirt for 3h really boring and it ended in a trench with 2 others (thats when we left)
Yeah literally last sentence, also what is even worse, when U think about it, even if U could fish/hunt without any "money" its still work... just not for money

The book deals with the topic of the scarcity in the economy by looking at it in reverse. The author describes the 24th-century Star Trek universe in which scarcity does not exist at all. The book explores a post-scarcity age and how our society would need to change to adapt itself to such an environment. It looks at the expectations regarding automation and artificial intelligence and takes readers through a journey of the fictional, moneyless world of Star Trek. It also looks at the challenges to the Star Trek economy.
Well ofc, even in a post scarcity community, it is humans that create the scarcity. Only when everything is fully automated can you eliminate necessary work
@Ryozuki well sure, you know this fact, but do we really understand what it feels to live like that? With that kind of poverty the things we regard as basics are luxuries

If only they focused on growing their crops, instead of everything else, even if they cant do it right now if population falls 20% it will reach equilibrium
If their work was valuable enough and they had any leverage they wouldnβt be starving. Decades of european and american dominance has made it impossible for them to negotiate anything, so we could all have thriving post war economies
I'd be careful with this tho. Shipping so much food every day is quite hard logistically. Also just giving Africans food won't solve all problems. Africans have an insane birth rate for example
Problem is. We don't actually want Africa to get rich BCS we want cheap energy

You can grow all the crops you want. The βfreeβ market will pay you only a certain amount for it, so itβs only useful for feeding yourself. The βfreeβ market also will just refuse to sell you seeds at a price where it makes sense for the crops to be used for feeding your population

Iβm not saying we ship the food. Iβm saying we have the capability to make this amount of food, we can most certainly grow it elsewhere aswell. Humanity as a whole has the resources and the capabilities to make more than enough food to feed everyone on earth
Most were occupied by their local militias and warlords who had deals with the neighbouring europeans. Itβs not by some intrinsic factor that africa is poor. Itβs that it was always more profitable to use it as a resource

How is central control of everything most effective? Maybe it's most coherent, but I can't imagine any metric of efficient that would make monarchy efficient
10:14
You can slowly reinvent a form of parliamentary democracy by slowly delegating parts of your power as the monarch for efficiency. But then how is it any better than what we have now?
10:14
I have the same problem with Anarchists. They keep reinventing government
For sure, but I was thinking about spain for example. They have like thousands of deputies and administration stuff for nothing.
When you are just getting more and morr people uselessly it becomes quite bad

Benevolent dictator for life (BDFL) is a title given to a small number of open-source software development leaders, typically project founders who retain the final say in disputes or arguments within the community. The phrase originated in 1995 with reference to Guido van Rossum, creator of the Python programming language. Shortly after Van Ross...

i think wifi is worse in metro due to the tech, iirc 4g is rly good at adapting to movement and finding new towers so fast u dont notice disruption

Well yes, but the providers arent interested in spending the money. So public money has to be spent, public likes cheap. I'm guessing the wifi was cheaper than paying the providers

@Learath2 what is important is that u should accept that no person is perfect. That includes u as well as the girl. If u'd truely want to find a gf u simply have to start chatting with some girl and see if u like her and maybe she even likes u
But to be honest many ppl aren't even trying. And then it won't work anyway

I once showed to a good friend the tripswitch geometry album (the song I also used in the ddnet r/place video timelapse). and he said it reminded him of this one by Ulrich Schnauss. so that is how we arrive here but yeah I think this one (and Nothing Happens In June) is absolutely amazing, one of the few songs I would consider a 9.5/10, just flawless and never gets boring
@matricks I'm already doing such good progress on my extension, I've managed to lay down a system of 3 principles (move, gravity and jump) which works dependent on direction, which means I can make an omni directional gravity and have all the velocities attach to the gravity direction. It's already at 700 lines (which 200 lines are comments for people who want to learn it)

I get it, since it needs a good presentation on what shader physics mean really
21:25
The closest example I can give you is simulations using shader scripts
21:26
where a condition happens, it runs a script for an object's shader accordingly. (for example character running through grass will make the grass move accordingly)
Nice thing about Godot is that, the shader scripts can use global variables and other scripts can access the shader script's variables too making it insanely flexible
21:33
global variables can be accessed through the root of the engine, I don't know how a shader can access that, but ok, it works(edited)
