Hello, I have a question about the parallax zoom effect in Teeworlds. Example: I added gras tiles at para Zoom 100. Now I want to make gras Background tiles at para Zoom 90 (no custom zoom). Although the gras in background moves correctly, it appears to have gotten bigger, when it should be same size (appear smaller bcoz background). When you look at it with zoom 0 (no zoom+ or -) the gras at para zoom 100 and 90 are the same size which means that because one is in the background it essentially grew in size which (i guess) is in most scenarios undesirable. With quads this is not a big problem as I can just change the size of the quads but with tile layers it gets much more work to fix. Is it supposed to work like that? And does anyone know a good workaround?

That's an annoying recent addition, you can bring back the old behavior by setting Para Zoom to 100 on the group

This doesn't fix the size issue though. I can't get the gras tiles in the background to look smaller while behaving correctly

@Derp There is no way to scale tile layers. The para zoom setting only makes layers get rendered in a weird way based on zoom so you can't use it to control layer size as a mapper.

Yeah, I noticed :/ it's just that in my head it should work. If something gets put into background via para zoom the real scale of the object should stay the same... Hopefully someone can fix that in an update. It would save me a lot of time and work

It won't get "fixed" cause it works as intended, what you want is something different
Avatar
Well then hopefully it becomes an option

is there anyway to run chat commands with a zone or something
18:41
or would you have to add server sided stuff to run commands from getting something like finish
Avatar
you can use tunezone
Avatar
it doesnt really let me use a value of a chat command
19:04
just things in tune
Avatar
with tunezone, you can send a message to players when they enter or exit the tunezone
19:05
you can also change physics inside the tunezone
19:05
what do you mean by "running chat commands"
Avatar
like could you make someone enter team 33 when they touch a tune zone
19:15
or something similar it doesnt have to be a tune zone
19:16
or when they enter a room it automatically does /showothers
19:17
or when they finish it automatically does /rank
Avatar
when ddnet maps turing complete
20:23
lol I guess they already are, because you can make gates with switches
Avatar
no, that's not possible @BloodDrippn

sending messages to players is a bad idea though
22:49
we've got players who don't understand english, in fact, it's probably a majority
Avatar
is it not possible to customise the message depending on the region?
