ai art is amazing, no doubt it's a revolution. the legal framework is not yet defined and ai reproduced images very similar to the content that was provided for its learning. artists sometimes spend years refining their style and are legitimately disappointed to see it reproduced identically without any form of consent. they feel ripped off and should have the right to fully decide the use of their work. feelsbadman

it is not so much the ai that should be blamed for reproducing existing images but rather the people who arbitrarily decide to extract all the content of a library containing millions of works without asking the explicit consent of the authors

yes but you'll process the image in your head and it'll end up merged to what you learned before. ai doesn't do that, you can prompt "art in style of..." and it will do something accuratly similar
