does it work only on grounded or does it work on saving and other aerial things too?

its ID based so if you were to /spec you will have your ID set to 0 and everyone else shifted by 1 if you hook someone with a higher ID than you, you will have a weaker hook on them if you hook someone with a lower ID than you, you will have a stronger hook on them (had this the other way around on accident) (edited)

im currently in a game and testing this and from the looks of it not only does it not switch weak to strong and the other way around on kill/death but my id doesnt change when i spec

when you kill/spec you will have weak on everyone else, because your ID is the lowest

Your client id doesnt. But your entity id changes

If you open the debug menu there is another id there. That's the entity order

There is a config option to disable it. KoG uses it

There was a bounce issue. If you hooked someone mid air and hit them sometimes you got stuck to them

If you see green you can drive them in a hf. That's how I usually remember it

i remember hearing complaints before this bug though, i think hook just felt worse, like hammerflying was different on there (not that you are gonna be hammerflying on kog anyway)

Well I think that's unavoidable :/ weak strong is a very very deep bug. It's not just hooks

there are a lot of situations where knowing strong/weak are very useful, the most common case is hammerflying
