i don't know what will konsti say about this and I don't rly care. We gave you final version of the map. The ranks were not harmed. You can't just fix what ever you want if mappers are available.

If you want to keep the map and you have problems with the ranks (which were not harmed) then keep the updated version of the map and remove the ranks.

I can and I did. Your definition of ranks not harmed is illogical. If a rank is done in a way which is no longer possible, it becomes invalid and obsolete, just like in any other game with a leaderboard.

I could tell you the exact same. I requested one part to be fixed, but got several changes instead. I could keep the updated version and delete the ranks, that's true. But removing runs done on such a difficult map for some silly changes I didn't even ask for is disrespectful of their time.

I already explained why I don't see any problem with current ranks to stay on changed version of the map and I'm not going to repeat myself. They (ddnet) see the problem then it's their problem. Now they (ddnet) need to choose from one of this options: 1. Revert back to version of the map from map creators and keep the ranks . (I rly don't see a problem of not keeping them and I already explaind it few times why those ranks were not harmed and why they wont make any diffrence in future - they are only problematic NOW because they are the only ranks done, as soon as they will be beaten then nobody will give a f... about them) 2. Revert back to version of the map from map creators and remove the ranks. 3. Remove the map completly and we will (hopely) get to some discussions about re-relase in future. I could tell you something about germany, heating, fuming, winter but I respect other german players so I will keep it to myself.

I don't recommend playing current version of Adorenarine that is on ddnet. That is some unauthorised version and I don't know what will happen to ranks made on that version. Murpi made his own "fixes" whatever they are. We are still waiting for ddnet to pick one of three options that i gave.

We could prepare one final version of the map with all the fixes included (there are 2 more bugs that for some can be major for other will be very annoying - I didn't wrote about them earlier becuse I had no idea how it will turn out with the last version we gave - both of those bugs are graphical).

I never claimed that only one thing will be fixed. I received a version from Konsti which had those things made and I made some graphical fixes. Before giving that version to release I checked if it is still possible to beat rank 1 with more than few seconds or 1 minute or something.

It is defo possible to do rank1 easily even with fixed version but I don't get why fix those, they aren't even that bad skips, and they are such small ones too

Like I wrote for players who will master the map it will be "easy" to beat top1 with atleast 7 minutes (on fixed version). Those who will rly master it then 7minutes+ For everyone who can't realise why keeping those ranks on fixed version is bad. You think about today/now - sure it can be seen as unfair yet tomorrow/in future those ranks that are made today will be irrelevant because many other groups will beat them with "ease". In the past Adrenaline 4 had to be spliced into two because it was toooo hard and today we have 54 finishes. Current top1 ofc had it easier in few parts but still they needed mutlipitle attempts in other parts which aren't that hard. Its all about players skills. For some first parts will be very easy and they will do it closed eyes and for others they will be hard and they will need mutliple attempts. There will be a group of players for which those parts in which top1 had a difficulty for them they will be done in first try. (edited)

Note that you can only ask to have have your map declined until its marked as ready. If you understand the thought behind this rule, you know that when the map is published, the responsibility over the map rests with DDNet and no longer with a player.

nobody told me about such a rule also nothing like this is written here : https://ddnet.org/rules/ so map still belongs to the authors. DDNet only hosts under a simple authors-hoster agreement. Until authors are availabale then only they are allowed to make any change in the map. DDNet is allowed to make changes if author is absent or all authors of the map accepts.

also im not rly here to remove the map, I want to find a nice way for both sides so that map will be in the final version from authors and that maybe the ranks that now exist could stay (in future those ranks wont mean anything so theres rly no point in removing them)

You resign the right to decide if the map stays online, that's how I see it and you apparently don't.

I cant speak for the admins but its not logical for me to keep ranks which are not obtainable anymore Minecraft e.g. has different leader boards for different versions, even tho a newer version can beat the old versions, they are separated because you cant compare inbetween them If the ranks stay and someone beats these with 1 second, you might think the people are equally good but the fact is hidden that one rank is done with a version you cant play anymore

so we can just assume that in those current ranks they just done the fixed parts on first try, still they wasted a lot of time in other parts in which other players will do them on first try

players should beat the map in the way the author predicted it to be. So all skips/cheats should be fixed. the only thing that should matter in time is the technique of compliting the part not by skipping it
