Just test how every of those works and pick optimal for yourself

Exactly. Fullscreen should have better performance if you care about that, but breaks with IME on Windows

If that doesn't help, you can try running DDNet.exe with parameter "logfile client.log", then share the client.log file with us

I mean, I use all default skins that are available in game, and I have the community skins check on

anyway if u are 100% sure u are using vk, look for assert logs

maybe in the beginning when I assembled the computer, but afterwards I didn't do anything for the drivers I think don't remember tbh

oh btw WHQL, rip rip, so the broken AMD OpenGL drivers are now considered stable... sounds annoying i generally would recommend 22.5.1 for now

My only guess is that there is an assertion in relation to the autoupdater (which doesn't exist in Steam), and this is not logged in client.log

The autoupdater checking the version, that's the only difference I can think of between Steam and non-Steam version

the renderer is OpenGL 1.4.0

You should use Vulkan or OpenGL 3

well dunno but there are also weird grey zones, like if u only use 5 seconds and use it e.g. for a parody its fine
