new one uses absolute mouse positions i think, old one relative movements

old is OS mouse, new is raw input

SDL implemented the "old" one with cursor teleports

and afaik that doesnt exists in newer SDL versions anymore

makes sense, when you moved mouse too fast it didn‘t register all of the movement for that reason

what u describe sounds like u have a tiny mouse distance

if u move ur cursor close to use tee it will always jump back to the right

Also make sure you don't have a Controller plugged in, which may make your mouse drift if the Joystick isn't centred. You can type inp_controller_enable 0 in F1 to disable the controller support.

I have some problem where the mouse just exits the game window when i move it too far from the center
