so why dont you just say which server

I might be wrong about this but maybe they mean that they are connecting both computers to 1 server but no matter which server is chosen it does the same thing, I’ve got no clue

he has to open his game server port for UDP

you could try settings cl_port 15000 on one computer and cl_port 15001 on the other (always restart client after doing) if it doesnt work reset cl_port on both computers

else i guess its your router doing it cannot really imagine smth else i dont think the mac address is send directly nor is somekind of ID sent which identifies the two connections dunno, weird case ^^

if u dont need moving tiles, u can simply use ddnet server, open the UDP port the server uses (usually 8303) in your router give your friends your public ipv4 and it should work

Since yesterdy or so I dont see any servers in DDNet Server Browser [I see randomly 1 to 6 or so Servers on the online tab (Vanilla game mods with names lilke "!" or so]. My filters are correct and it worked just fine before lol. I use DDNet 16.4 . I have 0 of 896 in Internet tab; 0 of 533 in DDNet Tab and 0 of 38 in KoG Tab. I can connect to servers. So yesterday i went to https://ddnet.org/status/ to lookup where to play and connected to it. It looks like others do not have this problem. Am I banned from DDNet Master or something lel?

I dont think my firewall, antivirus software or whatever randomly did something. Everything else works and ddnet.org works too so.

Have you tried redownloading and trying that?

@Deathman have you had any changes to your network hardware/anything to do with your internet? If so could you try using a VPN and retry, someone on a forum had the same issue and was caused by internet/network issues

there is other weird thing. I could play a few days ago. In the demo GioniX is my brother with laptop and destroyed230 is me with PC, we played on the same server but can't do it now

No i did not. It worked before yesterday just fine. Nothing changed. Hm I will try a vpn but idk

@0108ben i deleted the settings_ddnet.cfg (after making a copy). And started DDNet without, so it would create a new default one. AND it really worked o_O . Then I tried to use my copied settings again and it not works. So it seems some settings are wrong. This is really weird since I did not really change anything and before yesterday everything worked

well I now compare the files and maybe I find a setting that sounds like it could be the culprit

@0108ben well I found it. Don't ask me how I managed to do this, but well.... I had set search filter to : " " (many spaces) . So I obviously not saw any differences

. After deleting the search filter it works like it should. [good that you can compare files

(br_filter_string " " to br_filter_string ""). I wonder how I managed to that
