It's best to use antiping, so you can freely play on any server, having consistent gameplay across pings would almost definitely give you the highest potential for skill growth

Antiping also removes the need to vary your prediction due to momentum, you always just hook the tee directly. That's very strong even for low ping servers.

if servers have low pings, e.g. 20, 40, 50, 60, then the gameplay should be mostly the same on antiping, while you would have to manually adjust to it without antiping afaik

your ethernet cable doesn't allow you to have the same ping on all servers. it helps you with a consistent ping, and that is perfect for anti-ping

I've noticed using the cable helps me so much for for small movements like edges, but yes going to a server with higher ping (like 90) causes me to fail several hammer hits through the wall

exactly, without antiping, your brain has to adjust to the ping, you have to time your hammer differently if the ping is 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 with anti-ping, you always have the same timing there

it is more straight-forward than you might think the client does the same calculations as the server and times it as if you had the ping 0 that way, all the physics can go on like they would on the server, only that you don't need the network for that. however the only problem is the input of other players, which can change. that is where anti-ping has to 'roll back' and correct all positions, that is why on high ping servers tees teleport around
