hello, ive never played teeworlds before, and i read on some forum that playing vanilla before ddrace is better, is this true?

tho mods like gores, fng or vanilla gameplay is more intensive which might give u a good feeling for teeworlds quickly if you "tryhard" enough However it usually doesnt make you a much better ddrace player in total(e.g. it doesnt teach wall hammer, dummy play etc.)

im not really tryharding im more of looking for a relaxing/nice movement game

tbh just test all out and decide yourself

i got first movement with zcatch laser. But first real skill in gores and ddrace is still different, with lot of gores skills u can do some "hard" ddnet maps easily (stronghold), while others are hard, e.g. edge hooks

Yes it's always funny/interesting to see good gores players do ddnet, they look good and do great moves but they miss the basics and make simple fails
