https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet-data-svg are edits of existing skins able to get in here? assuming all other requirements are followed
I edited the twinbop skin to make a twinbop_glow version since someone wanted an HD version if it, and was just wondering if edits are allowed in the svg folder
there is so much clutter with glow skins and stuff, not that its the end of the world but it would probably be better overall if there was just a built in glow option + maybe other edits

maybe if i actually get into coding more i might mess around with that but i dont code often let alone in C#/++
my second idea was to make "decor skins", which have the same base and rendering as a normal tee skin, just it goes over your current tee. meaning you can very well give any tee glasses!
and idk you could set it to below you so glow skin
however with decor skins they would probably have to be made for specifically that skin, atleast with glow for example

and probably some other ideas

you have to account for any potential user error with whoever made the skin (maybe offset from center or something), and you have to account for different shapes sizes and centers
to be fair though it probably wouldnt be all that hard to make some sort of set for each popular type of skin (default shape, kitty shape, nanami shape, greyfox shape, etc) and leave the rest up to the user to download/make extra sets

skins in general could use a lot of changes, or it would be nice to have them atleast

skeith showed me the old custom colors which seemed really cool, i wish there was an option for old custom color rendering
