Without an error or a way to reproduce it, we can't really help. Did the game ever work before?

Why does cl_zoom_default accept only integers while zoom accepts any float? I have to set my zoom to 7.5 manually every time i start the game angry

Because config options can be strings, integers or colors. Float hasn't been coded yet
