as soon as there is not server list available (http master server) it would leak your IP to the server and fetch server info the old style

What does that button do?

it pings the server directly to get server info and latency number, so the server owner will know your ip even if you don't join it. This was considered too dangerous since attackers are collecting player ips for nefarious reasons and thus disabled by default with the new http master server (edited)
