when starting client ignored it since 1-2years? but it does MAYBE now cause other problems like
  • cant open maps from desktop anymore with ddnet.exe
or rarely can open demos from desktop with ddnet.exe

There are bugs with graphics drivers which will display these graphics wrong. So it works fine for most, but will be broken for some people

thx that worked still have the problem with cant loading maps & Demos anymore with OPEN WITH ddnet.exe since 1-2dayz? (not sure) (tryed 16.2.2. 16.3.2 also)

I did with right click open with. so I could open all with clicking on the maps or demo.

yeah, I have the latest msys2 package but it's version is not the same as the manually installed VulkanSDK so that might be why

shouldn't the vulkan maintenance tool update to the latest version? It just say that no new version is available, so I might have to redownload from the website

Ok, my setup was pretty cursed it seems. I had some of the tools, including lld, from LLVM instead of MSYS2. I removed LLVM from my path and installed all the missing tools in MSYS2. Though it still can't find vulkan, so I'll just compile without vulkan for now.

MSYS2 package management is definitely a blessing, you just shouldn't mix it with anything else

i use mingw package because msys2 cmake doesn't work on ddnet for some fucking reason

You can use the visual studio console and nmake
