DDNet client has a multitude of commands and settings that can be bound to nearly any key or mouse button. You can enter commands into the console, which by default is accessed by pressing F1.

There is still something I don't understand, I put in the console bind x "bind mouse1 "+fire; +toggle cl_dummy_hammer 1 0"" and now I can't disable it, how do I?

or you can use a config file to make 1 key switch between on and off. Without config files, you'll have to use 1 key to turn it on, and a different key to turn it off, which makes it less convenient and also takes up an extra key.
Too bad, that shouldn't happen when you use Nvidia GPU. Maybe DDNet is still using AMD graphics. In DDNet client you can select a different GPU in graphics settings I think
