also discord aren't technically banned, the chinese firewall works in mysterious ways. you can't access google anywhere in china, but you can log into discord without any proxy or VPN in some cities.

you were at tick 0, you send input at tick 0, server process the input, send you the result of tick 0 and you are currently at tick 8, so you used the tick 0 info and replays your last 8 local input and show user the end result.

tbh we really should code our own networking library because thats reusable company assets that can handle a lot more type of games which most networking stacks for unity still can not do out of the box to this day.

we do VR games for clients, and there aren't many chinese VR company who can handle convincing physics synchronization, other than some big companies i think
