Why are HD resolution skins not allowed ?

I'm not sure, but I can imagine: 1. Takes lots of RAM, which can cause Out of Memory crashes 2. Loads slowly during game startup 3. No visual difference visible even at 4K gaming 4. Even if you had a visual difference, what good is it if your skin is clear but every map blurry? (edited)

okay i agree on 1. and 2. that i might be a problem for some but there could be a HD on and off. There is a visual difference, at least for me the outlines are a lot more clear.

For my part, i use HD and 4k entities and the low quality skins does not fit in it.

We do have hd skins u can change download url to it manually. But not many skins use it yet

mostly the problem arise with dpi handling, as in all tw Assets use 72dpi instead of full scale (300dpi)

double the resolution with full dpi scale can show same graphic improvement, but better performance, than 4k images.

@deen on teeskins database, we plan on introducing better grid assets for hd resolution asset making, so hopefully this issue will be sorted out

@Cellegen dpi is something for printing so not really relevant here, but yes double resolution is what we use

before i played on a laptop and my autodemos recorded an entire playing session in a server, but now i switched to a PC and my autodemos are behaving differently - when i connect or disconnect a dummy, the autodemo stops and starts a new one.
