Bcp-38 is ingress filtering. Which would help as our isp would keep us safer. But I think the responsability is backwards there. We need egress filtering. ISPs should be responsible for the traffic that exits their network(edited)
I wonder what major ddos protection companies would feel about this actually. Proper ingress and egress filtering would put a significant dent into their huge profits
Well took a quick look at the attacks we get and I could spot a lot of ntp and memcached reflection and spoofed ddos was the main source for the attacks in the past

We should form ddnet inc, pay developers salaries which the developers will donate back. That way we can show that ddos attacks are causing monetary damage to ddnet inc.
my protection works too, but OVH filters some traffic, some people can join, some needs to wait 20sec till OVH stops filtering them, and some can't at all till the end of the attack
