@lynn The easy race maps are too easy and the hard ones are too hard so realistically it would be like if you put a brutal map in a novice category or vice versa
well for other reasons not specific to the rating system but imo the easier novice maps should not just give 1 or 2 points, imo specific race maps are even easier (and way faster) to do than 2 star / 3 star novice

imo no map should just give 1 point but i might be alone in that
and do similar to what osu did (which people really need to stop being afraid of comparing the two. it is the same type of system at a MUCH LARGER scale so we can learn a lot from osu)
PP is automatically determined, and i think it's not impossible to create a more rigid metric for map difficulty (not saying it should be automatic, but just have a more concrete criteria, especially nowadays that we know most things about the game at this point and what is hard relative to each other)
but we could have a more serious system for determining points almost immediately. how faily is it? how are the faily parts structured? are the more faily areas located at the start or end of the map? what about the less faily areas? how much "hook skill" is required? this is determined by some means in osu, maybe there is some metric we can use like reaction windows and abrupt angle changes that we can sort of scale independently

match that with weapon skill, hammer on tees, and solo movement and you have a decent points system

it doesnt have to be as rigid as im describing but there should be a "soft scale" for these kinds of things
Hi, i used to always play a certain map which was like a snakelike pacour from left to right then down then right to left and back and forth like that and it was super fun but i can't find the map for the life of me. Does anyone know which map im talking about?
