but yeah vector graphics are insanely new to me (i mean i never really used any advanced image editor for a while since i didnt really do anything art related)

i use krita in general but it doesnt have the best vector support, inkscape seems like its way better for vector graphics(edited)
sometimes i use both for making ddnet designs, and it turns out pretty well.
for me, raster art is better for just letting your ideas out as fast as possible, and i dont worry at all about perfecting it. what matters is the overall shape and color.
vector art is when i start to break it down and optimize my idea as best as i can. making it perfect yet small
ive always thought of raster as being pretty straightforward and vector being a step up from that but it could very well just be me (also if this convo continues we should probably move to #off-topic )(edited)
