new hud stuff not showing in rc5

on 16.2 server? it doesn‘t work on older

i think there is some commit that shouldnt be in the RC

on ddnet servers so im gonna guess yes 16.2

(Nightly newest version) Hey. I don't know if its a bug but I dont get the server message saying that i got jetpack. Neither if I lose jetpack, no message says that And now the cooldown bar resets while being in freeze. it goes to about halfway and fills up again. mightve been like that before but i've noticed it just now

you do not get these messages because you see them in the HUD

i dunno, as i said, what confuses me is that it flickers when jumping through freeze

no idea, guess the freezebar concept doesnt work so well with ddnet's weird way of resetting cooldowns only once per second

flickering doesn't happen often, it's much more annoying to see 20 freeze bars at once when playing t0

My frozen dummy looks kinda weird, could've been because of the snow effect which made me look at the frozen dummy and made me notice the details (edited)

I would like some kind of frozen animation/overlay that maybe also gets a defrost effect instead of freeze bar

the rest could have been done a release later or smth

we could also use the tee itself as a freezebar... which thaws from top to bottom.

you could open an issue for that

and generate a sound? So it is a player effect sound, that is only played if a player effect changes

can't do the sound atm but could review one that gets submitted

done, building rc6 now

i just updated game (release candidates) and cl_show_ninja is broken, i always see their skin when someone is freezed and the stars that u always see when someone is freezed disappeared too, also i checked and everything is back to normal when i unchecked release candidates in steam

Yea so... my ddnet is apparently always running and i have to restart steam to start ddnet again.

hey i keep getting a bug where i cant click anything on the pause menu

I found a fix for this in case anyone else gets it, if you navigate up or down using the arrow keys and then press f5 to refresh you get mouse control back
