above angle? looks fine to me also about you previous post with the snowflakes animation, I would like to see the variant with the frozen cube also, just to compare, rn it's not so easy to tell the difference or maybe it just takes time to get used to it

What do you think about the size of the dummy actions?
I was wondering what do you guys think about somehow changing buffs visually. Im speaking about pistol->jestpack, endless jumps, endless hooks and noCollide effects. IMO if you work on this HUD and other improvements, you could do it aswell. For example, pistol -> jetpack. We could change "pistol" model to something like flamethrower idk. So some indication will appear that the behavior is changed. Some indication for no collide tile, maybe make tees look more transparent or even "ghosty" Same goes for endless hook and endless jumps. Not sure how to change them yet, but some visual indication would be nice I think

tbh the whole dedication to polishing ddnet is a mixed bag for me. on one hand itd look so cool to see these new features have their own look, but on the other hand i kinda like how ddnet looks like it was homemade. something about how everything had compromisations had a charm (edited)

I think its fine. Most of the polishing doesnt really affect gameplay at all and is just UI stuff, which sure does remove some of the 'homemade' ish vibes but i think the gameplay is a bigger part of that

thats what im getting at. every instance of the game feels very light and not too flashy. the constant reuse of assets feels like at home, and in my opinion one of the only cases where everything isnt focused graphically. its all about gameplay
