is there a fix to fps drops every now and then at <1000hz refreshrate? if i use unlimited fps my graphic card starts squeeking. if i go to 1000hz refreshrate or lower i get fps drops.

what about trying integrated graphics instead of the dedicated gpu (after you choose vulkan and restart the option appears)

he uses a desktop gpu tho, would need to put his monitor cable there too then

normally "short" fps drops are caused by clock rates changing

overheating
p states

stuff like that "long" fps drops are usually writing to disk, or other synchronizations try to update all drivers first ofc so try to adjust your GPUs fan curves can help (e.g. if they are too low for specific loads) try changing p states see if the CPU isnt the fault here else try similar stuff for the CPU

it sets dummy control 0 before setting dummy jump 0 so it stays at 1
