I can only join Indian servers rest are stuck on connecting too, it's going too much bad now, Imagine every server got ddos and no one can join it and they did it forever then the game is dead

It's almost 2 orders of magnitude more expensive to protect against ddos then to ddos. We can't ever realistically afford it

depends xD In some cases we are shy, for example if you use /tp before going through start, you keep in practice

I found some very weird bugs when practice mode interacts with solo, but I forgot to document them, now I can't remember them :/

are you using a vpn or some security software that reroutes your web traffic? it should work now again

Basically we are trying to have a whitelist of allowed ips on the server, but some players have a different ip when using http and when using udp, so in that case it's impossible for us to whitelist the right ip

maybe when we hit yearly funding we should have a stretch goal for ddos protection upgrades?

it'd allow us to host proxy servers, so that we can have some sort of hidden and open proxies so that the original game server can't be DoSed

pretty smart xD how about adding hcaptcha to ddnet too for whitlisting, does the whitlist actually work, have you heard from them anything?
