I want to get deepfly "up and running" but don't quite understand how. Could someone explain? (I did check the wiki, hence why i'm asking cuz im not 100% sure on how exactly i need to do things). Do i need to create files? If no, where do i paste the string?

That's how I did it: bind z "bind mouse1 \"+fire; +toggle cl_dummy_hammer 1 0\"" bind x "bind mouse1 +fire" Now z turns deepfly on, and x turns it off. Also this helped me: cl_dummy_restore_weapon 0.

Just put it all in f1 console. And then when you activate deepfly, when you fire, the dummy hammers.

does anyone know why some servers have random spikes every like 5 mins or so

depends, you can call the ISP and ask if there is a problem they can fix but could also be out of their hand

ill ask around, but im pretty sure they do as well

is there something we can do about the routing part without calling the ISP? Sometimes my friends don't lag in FRA or GER servers but for me it's like unplayable with 900 ping and basically it's not receiving any of my input

use lan cable try to minimize the distance between the modem and the input from your street(that goes from the street in your house) prefer DSL and fiber over cable internet else not really i think
