Different port is used, it's always random, different routing or traffic shaping is done by some ISPs. Restarting client can help (or setting fixed dummy_port), restarting router doesn't help. It's not your router deciding the problematic route

How do I move in a straight line for KOG?

Some advice for 2 tiles I was given from treatment is to not press a/d. Much more stable in there. Try experimenting with wider hooks and try and find what suits you best. Not any specific strategy to it, just something that comes with time.
