do you mean the texts differ? I rewrote all the descriptions in an attempt to make them as clear as possible

I think I managed to write them clearer, I suppose they could be backported to the client

So, the explanation for tile 19 and 20 are the exact same in both /explain/ and /explain/switch, but in /switch/ it should be added that it disables hitting for specific weapons, which can be changed using the delay number

tile 20 in switch layer ingame: HIT OTHERS: You can deactivate hitting others for single weapons, using delay number to select which. (edited)

hm yeah they seem to use one description for each, @Zwelf can you do separate descriptions for different layers?

it is generally a problem with command descriptions, the get cut off. We should implement a rotation text system, or print them multiline

In editor in switch layer the 19 and 20 tile can turn on or off the specific weapon by putting delay value from 2 - 4 but it is missing pistol and hammer

You have to add a switch.csv in https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet-web/tree/master/explain-layers similar to https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet-web/blob/master/explain-layers/tiles.csv, but only with the lines you want to override

ah but a switch.csv seems to be already in there. I suppose you should then just add lines and instead of $number which probably references another entry write an actual description?

ah, true. Yeah the $number is just a special case to copy the title/group/description of a specific TileId to reduce duplication. (edited)

But regular descriptions can be added in the switch.csv to override some from the tiles.csv (for the switch explain svg) (edited)

i guess that's normal because those are discrete event while a pressed key is a continuous event

i need help, my dummy, when i press X does't continue the last action, for example when i grab a wall, i switch and the dummy just fall
