It does only "flicker" because the tee is on a speedup tile. The bar is not shown if the tee sits in freeze. But because he is only sitting for a short time it does flicker

I have shown this edge case on purpose. This is the compromise if you do not want the bar to be displayed when sitting in the freeze.

yes, but I find that just as disturbing as these stars. But is probably a matter of taste.

i might have a small idea what if the bar didnt lower throughout the entire 3 seconds? what if it was full for the entirety of the first second, and then starts lowering for the other two? because i think itd be a bit janky imo, if the bar was constantly lowering and resetting while in freeze

freeze was introduced about 14+ years ago, can safely say that many will be used to having dmg particles, average players. but yes for new people this could be amazing (edited)
