Why do different servers handle traffic different?

different hosters, different dos protections

if your friend is from another country then the server might have better ping and connection for them, otherwise you can try changing values for these commands in F1, you can put random numbers higher than 1024

i assume they have have to be different, make them different just in case

I already tried to change to the same number and different numbers between them, i keep lagging. (Curious fact: always when i lag, my ping never changes in the player list.)
