new plan : pick a random already released map and run it as a tournament but don't tell anyone which map and ofc best time wins in 1hour

i wanna see like a round based tournament. really easy and short speedrun map but the slowest few players cant participate in the next round. is it called last man standing?

i was more thinking that we have one short map. a short warmup phase to get to know it and then rounds on only that map

Well with n players youll get log(n) rounds to finish, so the time it takes to finish the entire tournament doesnt grow quickly as one might expect

in Tm it takes 45 minutes on a 45-60 second maps but they dont half the players. for the first few rounds its the last 4 players then the last 2 and the top ten is one by one i think

Though the 64p servers we have is a bit of a limitation for something like this

yeah.... on TM there are a lot of streamers in div1 so its no trouble. maybe we HAVE to have a streamer for this one

For coop I think it's not really possible to do this on one server

is it easy for an admin to control the players? like make them all spawn at the same time and letting only the winners of each round participate?

antiping doesn't work well when you have packet loss though. I think it would have to work with at least 1 server per region.

can we do it with a disposable map that will not stay released? its hard to map stuff that fits both purposes
