What scenario saves demos directly to /demos? Best ranks get saved to /demos/auto/race, regular auto demos get saved to /demos/auto, and replays get saved to /demos/replay. If I make an edit to any demos in any of those folders, the edit gets saved right next to it in the same folder. I have a bunch of demo files directly in /demos and I can't figure out how they got there. I'm pretty sure I didn't move them manually. It's a mix of edits and full run recordings. Are these left over from functionality in an old client version?

if you have an auto demo on, all gameplay will save in /demos from when you spawn to where you finish

also in old ddnet and vanilla i think it just saved to demos if you do it manually

i believe any demos you start recording manually show up there
