What scenario saves demos directly to /demos? Best ranks get saved to /demos/auto/race, regular auto demos get saved to /demos/auto, and replays get saved to /demos/replay. If I make an edit to any demos in any of those folders, the edit gets saved right next to it in the same folder. I have a bunch of demo files directly in /demos and I can't figure out how they got there. I'm pretty sure I didn't move them manually. It's a mix of edits and full run recordings. Are these left over from functionality in an old client version?

i believe any demos you start recording manually show up there

i do think more stuff used to show up there in older versions of ddnet client though, cause i've got some race demos in there from back in the day (edited)
