The normal way it's done is basically that the bottom player hammers every time the two collide, and the top player quickly rehooks on every second hammer (you can do it on every hammer too, it just matters that you do it at a good time in the cycle and don't hold it so long that you drop them)

(I usually do every hammer, I feel it gives me better control while driving in tighter corridors)

It's also very important to note that it only works how it does because the hook acts asymmetrically. The tee on top (who is hooking the bottom tee) gets pulled downwards by their hook with much less force than the tee on bottom is pulled upwards. This fact is why hookfly is also possible (flying using hook only, as opposed to hammerfly which is the basic method you asked about)

When I kinta for example i rehook every hammer, but when I'm flying normally I'll just hook after every sec. hammer :P

I sometimes when I'm just flying up straight hook every second hammer aswell, but if I'm moving at all I'm doing every hammer

i also usually hook every hammer like Learath, but my reasoning is because i tend to occasionally drop the bottom player when i hook every other time, due to my mouse button repress not getting registered. If a regrab doesnt register when i'm doing it every hammer, nothing bad happens (edited)

There wasn't any open vote about that feature to be in DDNet, but I'm actually glad that it's in. And similar to this situation, we wouldn't mind using this feature even if it would be declined.

You could try setting "Player country" filter to France and chatting up some French players ingame

I would prefer to be shown parts where the tiles creates new gameplay. I think the tile looks interesting, however I currently can't really think of a part where it would create interesting, new gameplay

honestly I'm not sure how a vote for/against this tile can work properly if we don't have any interesting parts to back the tile up, the parts are what make tiles interesting imo
