How about the size of the hit marker, with a lesser max distance it's a bit bigger than usual.

i am not aware of a command like that existing, maybe someone else knows, but you could take your current game.png, make the cursor smaller in an image editing program (edited)

yea i was on a map which used 1.2 gigs aswell, was confused as why it was using so much but on another map it was only 100 mb

you can get your value by typing cl_mouse_max_distance and inp_mousesens

those numbers will be your value to replace <your value> with
