I think changing the link on the main page is good, because it serves as an index of all pages. So go ahead there. Don't worry to much about getting redirects (or anything) wrong. It is totally ok to make a mistakes. We can always correct it afterwards. (edited)

For the redirect, I edited "Difficulties" in source mode changed the content to #REDIRECT[[Ranks and Points#Points]] Redirecting to the points section on the page "Ranks and Points". (edited)
