We have a playground for playing around. Outside it you will be banned for blocking. This is to ensure the people who want to play the map can play the map. Blocking is forbidden on ddnet servers, we just made an exception for the multeasymap playground (edited)

Hosting it yourself wouldn’t really help much. Since it wouldn’t have access to the data
